A comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation can help identify an individual's strengths and areas of struggle. It can provide valuable information regarding how an individual learns, social/emotional functioning, and academic strengths and struggles. Results from assessment can help guide interventions to support and assist the individual in the academic and social setting. They can also be used to diagnose learning disabilities, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), or other emotional disorders such as anxiety or depression. Testing can also be utilized to assist in applying for college test accommodations, including the GRE, MCAT, CBEST, and LSAT.
Comprehensive testing consists of interviews, a thorough record review, cognitive testing, academic achievement testing, and social-emotional/behavioral rating scales, if deemed necessary.
Cognitive or IQ testing may be used to provide identification and documentation for Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) eligibility or MENSA membership.
Mental health is an important part of an individual's overall health and well-being. It impacts how an individual thinks, feels, and acts; as well as how one handles stress, performs in school, relates to or interacts with others, and makes healthy choices.
Individual and group counseling is provided for educationally and work related struggles such as academic/learning difficulties, behavioral struggles, anxiety, depression, social skills, life skills, school motivation, executive functioning, grief and other areas of adjustment.
A safe and non-judgmental space is created so that sessions can be active, engaging, and goal-oriented.
Teletherapy sessions are conducted from the comfort and safety of the client’s home at a time that fits their schedule. While some individuals prefer in-person therapy, many find it easier to open up and relax in their familiar environment. Telehealth also offers convenience for families balancing busy schedules, sibling care, and other demands, making it a flexible option for ongoing support.
We provide consultation to schools to support and improve mental health programs, suicide prevention efforts, assessment and intervention strategies, and threat assessment protocols. Our goal is to help schools create safe, supportive environments where all students can thrive.
For parents, we offer guidance navigating school evaluations, Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), Student Success Teams (SSTs), and the process of securing school-based supports. We also attend 504 and IEP meetings to advocate for each child’s unique needs and ensure effective collaboration between families and schools.
We provide training sessions for school staff at all levels to increase awareness of current student mental health challenges. These trainings offer practical strategies to effectively support students’ emotional and behavioral needs within the classroom and school environment.
